Our friends at the City of Seattle’s Race and Social Justice Initiative put together a list of selected resources related to racial equity we thought we’d share here. And since we’re on the topic, I would like to recommend The People’s Institute‘s workshop Undoing Institutional Racism to all museum professionals, especially those interested in working with communities that have traditionally been under-represented in museums. I had a chance to attend one of these workshops last week and thought the scaffolding was very effective in bringing together the fundamental concepts necessary to understand the problematic of race and power and its perpetuation through our country’s institutions (including museums believe it or not). The People’s Institute holds workshops all over the country and can also be invited to your city. –Rose
